We waited literal YEARS for this Estancia La Jolla wedding to happen. Nikolette (Niko) & Coury booked their wedding and took their engagement photos back in 2019, when we were all in a pre-pandemic state of bliss. Since their wedding was planned for April of 2020, they were forced to postpone. We took some time to honor that original date with a small photo session. When the huge surge towards the end of the year and the beginning of 2021, they decided to postpone their wedding again.
Fast forward to 2022, Niko & Coury welcomed their first baby! Sweet Bennett was born just 7 weeks before wedding day — a joyful addition to this very belated celebration. Unfortunately, when it rains it pours and I found out I was covid positive just 2 days before their wedding. This day could not catch a break! Thankfully, my amazing team with Jenny on lead, stepped in for me and captured the day beautifully. So thankful for their willingness to dive into the deep end on such short notice — this was a 350+ guest wedding after all, so it’s no small feat!
Niko & Coury’s celebration was packed with meaning and intention from start to finish. From the small ways they honored Niko’s late father to walking down the aisle with their newborn daughter, I dare say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
